We are a small team. We grew up in the US, Ireland, China, Taiwan, the Canary Islands, and Russia. We have worked at Argo, Google, Apple, Amazon, Mapbox, and Facebook, started six companies, and raised a dozen kids. We have written software for every major platform from PC to web to mobile phones to VR and AR. We have designed systems that enable helicopters to land in low visibility, worked on motion planning systems for autonomous cars, and coached high school kids to win paper plane contests. We fly small planes, build and race drones, RC aircraft, and ground robots.
Our Mission is to teach machines to see. We’re a remote-first team and welcome talented people living anywhere in the United States.
We designed a fully passive 3D perception system for all environments where vehicles operate. There is nothing else like it.
Everyone impacts our product and our culture. We are nimble and communicate well. Equity appreciation is more likely than at late-stage AV companies.
We are backed by first-rate investors led by Khosla Ventures and we already have customers.
I love that the people at Compound Eye are smart, humble, and funny. It's the type of people you want to spend time with. I love that they all have expertise in areas I don't, so working with them is enriching. Of the job, I love that it requires me to learn new things all the time.
Our CEO is supportive and committed to the employee experience. Our team is exceptionally intelligent and incredible at their jobs.
Most other places I've worked have promoted cultures of favorites and burnout. Compound Eye does a good job of valuing culture and DE&I.
The breadth and depth of knowledge of my coworkers is a huge plus. I've been here over 2 years and I'm still learning something new everyday.
Compound Eye is much smaller, more focused than other companies. Yet the work feels a lot broader because each person has more responsibilities, and things move much faster.
Folks are friendly and very engaged with the subject matter. You can tell people are excited to learn and be on the bleeding edge of research and tech.
We’re on a mission to teach machines to see - all machines. We hire good, smart, ambitious people who want to solve world-class problems. We succeed because we share certain values.
Compound Eye operates at the intersection of 3D geometry and deep learning. We are hiring exceptional software, hardware, and machine learning engineers to join our team. Compound Eye is remote first and we're not commuting again until we have self-driving cars.
